Ekroop Sangha
Health Studies student at York University exploring medicine, biomedical research, health systems, patient experience, and the growing role of data and technology in healthcare.
About Me
I’m a Health Studies student at York University with a growing interest in medicine, biomedical research, healthcare systems, and the factors that shape patient experiences.
My academic work and experiences across hospital volunteering, crisis support, community service, research, leadership, and health data have allowed me to explore healthcare from both scientific and human perspectives.
I am especially interested in questions surrounding patient safety, scientific evidence, emerging therapies, health information, and how healthcare can continue evolving to better serve patients and communities...

Current Focus
My current academic and research interests centre on the relationship between scientific evidence and real-world healthcare.
I am particularly interested in how biomedical products are evaluated, how emerging therapies move from research environments into public discussion, and what happens when scientific information reaches patients through unregulated markets, social media, or other non-traditional sources.
These questions have led me to explore topics including analytical chemistry, peptide quality, patient safety, health misinformation, trust in healthcare, and the growing role of technology in medicine.
